I've been wanting to create a blog to document the tales of being a "human mommy" to one maniac Great Dane and now that we've acquired another one, albeit she's nothing short of a princess, well, here goes...
Saturday, Steve and I drove to Austin to meet a rescue Dane by the name of Sesh. Sesh is a year old, a Fawn, and the most gorgeous lady you ever saw! I fell in love with her beauty the moment I saw her but her essence is what sustains me. She is just so different from Gage in a number of ways.
Gage just turned 11 months old and my latest nickname for him is "the maniac." Of course, Steve still calls him a "muffin head." Gage is my first love and I am constantly telling him that I still love him and that he's a momma's boy. I was worried about how he'd feel about opening his home to another animal but so far he's been great. He's been a tad jealous at times but he doesn't show aggression, he just trys to worm his way into the situation. He's been quite submissive to Sesh actually. They play so well together and I know it's just what he needed.
Sesh is a love bug, a lady, regal, dainty, refined - everything Gage isn't!
We're hoping to adopt her and we'll know for sure at the end of the week hopefully! For now, we're just enjoying her presence and loving on her goodness.
